Top I.T Training Centres & Computer Schools in Nigeria

They are many computer training schools
that can help one develop skills and
improve knowledge of computers and
gadgets in Nigeria. However, I.T training
centres are much more advanced, because
they deliver a higher level of training in
information technology and offer
international certification after completion
of the program.
This is the major difference between
Computer Schools and I.T training centres.
It is standard requirement that both
training institutions be practically inclined,
nevertheless, the use of some text books
is also necessary as this can help increase
understanding.
The
level
of I.T
in
Nigeria has rapidly developed over the
years. Nigeria has Largest ICT market in
Africa, therefore making our I.T sector very
profitable. There is an on-going digital
evolution in Nigeria which is currently
taking place in all sectors.
Nowadays, many organizations require

BREAKING NEWS!! GOVT Shuts Down Seven Catholic Schools in Ekiti

Seven Catholic Schools were shut down.
Ekiti State Government has shut seven
schools run by the Catholic Diocese of
Ekiti for failure to pay the Education
Development Levy.
Under the new tax regime, pupils in
primary and secondary schools are to pay
N500 and N1,000, respectively.
The
catholic schools had requested the
government to exclude its schools from the
payment, a request that was rejected.
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti,
Most Reverend Felix Ajakaye, who broke
the news in Ado Ekiti, accused the state
government of being insensitive by
shutting the schools when students were
preparing for their National Examinations
Council Examinations.
Talking about the Seven Catholic Schools,
Ajakaye said, “I am concerned about the
propriety of imposing any development levy
on pupils and students in Catholic mission
schools in Ekiti State, moreover when our
schools are paying various levies and
taxes demanded by both the local and
state governments respectively.

Reinstate Sacked Vice Chancellors Now – NANS Warns Minister of Education

Minister of Education has been asked by
the National Association to Reinstate the
Sacked VCs in 14 days. The National
Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)
has given a 14 day ultimatum to the
education minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu
to re-instate the 13 Vice Chancellors who
were wrongfully sacked by the federal
government in February.
According to the president of NANS,
Comrade Tijani Usman Shehu the refusal
of the minster to re-instate the sacked
lecturers can best be described as a bald-
faced attempt to politicize our universities
and arrest academic progression by the
jugular.
The
NANS
President equally threatened that at the
expiration of the ultimatum, if the minster
still remains adamant, this will only be an
invitation to the Nigerian students to
occupy his office and demand his
resignation.
